[Good evening Johto/Kanto/Pokémon World. Ren is making this video from Violet City! So far he's only been making posts from Goldenrod, so it's a nice change of pace.]

Violet City is certainly a beautiful place. I'm more accustomed to places like Goldenrod City, but there's nothing wrong with smaller places from time to time. This reminds me a bit of our school surroundings as well.

[Though that's not the only thing what he wanted to talk about. He lifts his hand to show his Zephyr Badge to the camera.]

With this, I'm able to travel by air. I managed to get a Pokémon with Fly earlier, thanks to a certain Scarecrow, so I don't need the HM for now. So now all that I'm missing are the badge and HM for Surf. I'd like to know what Gyms are needed for those? I'm not really interested in the challenge otherwise.

[Apollo looks pretty worn out when the video comes on. Satisfied and in a good mood, but beat. It looks like he's lying on the grass somewhere.]

You can get the Surf HM from the gym in Olivine City, along with the Whirlpool HM, but I don't know which badge you need to use them. I'm a Breeder so all I need are the HMs.

Have you tried flying yet? It's really amazing!

I see. [So he could either go to Kanto or continue the route to Olivine. Tough choices and he needed to consider how strong his Pokémon were, too...] It must be nice - being a breeder. It seems to give you more freedom. I'm slightly jealous.

I haven't flied yet, no. Though I should probably take a test flight before actually flying a longer distance...

It was nice not to have to challenge two gyms to be able to use an HM. I don't know why Trainers have to.

You should fly! I never realized how small Johto was or how big the world was until I saw it all from the sky.

I can imagine how it looks like... and it will most likely be an unforgettable experience as well.

The Pokédex thing that the gear has is useful too, even if some of what it says is confusing sometimes. [And he finds the Pokédex voice kind of annoying too.]
