[It's been a while since Ren's taken some time to sit down and write something on paper. He's been playing around with words in his head, but it's been too long since he's actually written anything.
He didn't need a melody to write lyrics. Once he knew the melody, he could always change the lyrics so that they fit. The most important thing here was to get the feelings right. That's why it was important to write them down when you felt an inspiration.
Ren's Mareep was sleeping next to him after exploring the beach. Ren wasn't sure how long he had been there. Possibly hours, but he wasn't in a hurry to go back.]
[Sometime in the evening there is an audio post posted on the network.]
I've been seriously thinking that I should start making a musical career here. I want to leave something behind me once I leave this place. Something that I would be remembered from. [What a deep thought that is. Ren chuckles.] Though I didn't mean to make that sound as gloomy as it might have sounded. It was just something I thought about when I was writing lyrics.
[There's a small pause before he continues.]
I had a point in making this post. I want to hear your opinions on what kind of music you want to hear. What kind of messages should the songs deliver or what kind of a mood they should set?
I look forward to your answers.
[With that, the feed goes out.]

I think I like happier songs? Rather than that, actually, upbeat. Tune-wise. I don't mind whatever the lyrics might say, I just like things I can hum.
[ She's not really someone who listens to a lot of music, but she's trying to be useful since she's familiar with him. ]
audio;
[There's a clear smile in his voice.]
Well, it would be important that the lyrics match the songs mood, right? It would be rather weird if there was a happy song about not so happy things. [Though there have been those, but let's not discuss that.]
Unfortunately, I'm not much of a composer, but I do enjoy writing lyrics to happier songs.
audio;
I'm not much of a composer either, if it helps? But I'm sure I'd love to listen to whatever you come up with.
audio;
[Musicians should know about these things, after all.]
I actually have a song I've made and recorded a while back, if you'd like to listen?

I thought it was just something I needed to do because my family said so. They wanted me to become a poster boy of our family company... so I lost my passion towards music for quite some time.

[ besides, anything is better than the constant friendship and pokemon centered songs. he's a content guy that likes people but twenty minutes listening to the radio makes him feel a bit drugged sometimes. ]
Whatever you make I'll listen to it at least.
audio;
[There are most likely a lot of people who share his opinion... Ren at least does.]
I actually have one song I've sang once in this world. If you'd like, I can share it with you as an example?
[Because why not, since he has it recorded.]

Come to think of it, wasn't there an idol variety show kind of thing going on before? Maybe someone can start a music program if the radio isn't an option. [ someone not him... or else it'd be all 90's goodness. ]
audio;
I saw that as well. The though of actually running a music channel on the pokegear network has also visited my mind a few times... there are a lot of musicians here, after all.
audio;
Something to make this place feel a little bit more like home. [ something not centered on pokemon. ] Though I guess the locals won't really be interested if it has nothing to do with pokemon.
audio;
[audio]
[Neither here or back home, which is why he makes a short pause, tapping his fingers idly on the 'Gear as he gives it some more consideration.]
... Sounds like a neat idea, though.
Anyway, I can't really help -- I ain't much of a musical person. I'd say as long as it ain't boring or depressing, it's cool to listen to.
[audio]
[Or then he's been through too much in Johto. Geez.]
At least you didn't request an upbeat version of the Bidoof song, because I would have kindly rejected that idea.
[audio]
[WANNA PICK A FIGHT? >:T
... There's a change in his tone, though, and it becomes obvious he was just kidding as he chuckles a bit.]
I thought that was a given? Damn, I was looking forward to it...
[audio]
[Do you hear that smirk in his voice? Because it's there.]
Sorry to disappoint you, grandpa.
[audio]
Oi, don't screw around with me... kid.
[audio]
Wow, scary.
Though seriously, how old are you anyway? I though you're around the same age as me or a little bit older.
[audio]
[... Which is not old at all, thank you very much.]
[audio]

[There's a brief pause before he continues, almost as if he was somewhat hesitant about what he's about to say.]
... I get that a lot, actually.
Especially from bartenders.

... well, not in bars, but anyway.

[ In other words, HARUKA'S MUSIC IS THE BEST! ]
... like Haruka-chan, it is like the sun!

Of course you do.
[Video]
But for ME, I gotta say I'd love to hear something, ANYTHING, that didn't have to do with Pokemon.
But good luck getting a CAREER off the ground in this world if you don't just sing about magical multi-colored animals...
[Video]
[At least he has high hopes.]
Though I am on the same like with the music. Pokémon songs aren't really my thing.
[Video]
[Video]
[Jokingly. Even though it's almost true...]
[Video]
I mean, I'm not even ashamed, I had the themesong from Duck Tales saved in my music folder back home, y'know?
But when that sort of thing is the only thing you can GET and even the metal music is about like... Metal-type Pokemon, it gets oooooold
[Video]
Though I guess I was expecting this to be a world full of Pokémon, so I got bored of it faster than I probably should have. Especially since I would have liked to listen to the radio instead of the background music.
[Video]
But then it starts talking about, like, Magmars and shit in the middle of a song about burning romantic passion and I can't take it seriously anymore.
[Video]
[Video]
I mean, it works for some songs, but ...
