[It's been a while since Ren's taken some time to sit down and write something on paper. He's been playing around with words in his head, but it's been too long since he's actually written anything.

He didn't need a melody to write lyrics. Once he knew the melody, he could always change the lyrics so that they fit. The most important thing here was to get the feelings right. That's why it was important to write them down when you felt an inspiration.

Ren's Mareep was sleeping next to him after exploring the beach. Ren wasn't sure how long he had been there. Possibly hours, but he wasn't in a hurry to go back.]

[Sometime in the evening there is an audio post posted on the network.]

I've been seriously thinking that I should start making a musical career here. I want to leave something behind me once I leave this place. Something that I would be remembered from. [What a deep thought that is. Ren chuckles.] Though I didn't mean to make that sound as gloomy as it might have sounded. It was just something I thought about when I was writing lyrics.

[There's a small pause before he continues.]

I had a point in making this post. I want to hear your opinions on what kind of music you want to hear. What kind of messages should the songs deliver or what kind of a mood they should set?

Well, for awhile it sort of had that Disney charm, y'know?

I mean, I'm not even ashamed, I had the themesong from Duck Tales saved in my music folder back home, y'know?

But when that sort of thing is the only thing you can GET and even the metal music is about like... Metal-type Pokemon, it gets oooooold

Ah, yes. I can see your point. There are songs that are catchy and charming. Especially some of the Disney songs are rather nice.

Though I guess I was expecting this to be a world full of Pokémon, so I got bored of it faster than I probably should have. Especially since I would have liked to listen to the radio instead of the background music.

If you pay no attention whatsoever to the lyrics, some of it's fine.

But then it starts talking about, like, Magmars and shit in the middle of a song about burning romantic passion and I can't take it seriously anymore.

There's a clear line between what songs you can use Pokémon in and what not.

Yeah, I'm gonna go out on a limb and say that any song involving romance should stay completely Pokemon-free.

Definitely. There's enough Pokémon love around every time someone announces an egg sale. Or before that.
