[It's been a while since Ren's taken some time to sit down and write something on paper. He's been playing around with words in his head, but it's been too long since he's actually written anything.

He didn't need a melody to write lyrics. Once he knew the melody, he could always change the lyrics so that they fit. The most important thing here was to get the feelings right. That's why it was important to write them down when you felt an inspiration.

Ren's Mareep was sleeping next to him after exploring the beach. Ren wasn't sure how long he had been there. Possibly hours, but he wasn't in a hurry to go back.]

[Sometime in the evening there is an audio post posted on the network.]

I've been seriously thinking that I should start making a musical career here. I want to leave something behind me once I leave this place. Something that I would be remembered from. [What a deep thought that is. Ren chuckles.] Though I didn't mean to make that sound as gloomy as it might have sounded. It was just something I thought about when I was writing lyrics.

[There's a small pause before he continues.]

I had a point in making this post. I want to hear your opinions on what kind of music you want to hear. What kind of messages should the songs deliver or what kind of a mood they should set?

I think I like happier songs? Rather than that, actually, upbeat. Tune-wise. I don't mind whatever the lyrics might say, I just like things I can hum.

Well, it would be important that the lyrics match the songs mood, right? It would be rather weird if there was a happy song about not so happy things. [Though there have been those, but let's not discuss that.]

Unfortunately, I'm not much of a composer, but I do enjoy writing lyrics to happier songs.

It would be important, yes! I've heard upbeat songs with sad lyrics, and I suppose the dissonance is...well, not off-putting, I find it interesting, but I see your point!

I'm not much of a composer either, if it helps? But I'm sure I'd love to listen to whatever you come up with.

I guess I haven't really heard of songs that are like that. I should probably try them, to see what they're like.

Something with a good beat and maybe a chorus that's nice to sing along to? I think as long as the message is something that people can relate too it's fine.

Mm, that sounds like something I would gladly work on - as well as sing. Though thinking of a message a lot of people relate to might be a bit difficult, but I do enjoy a challenge.

Well there are a lot of different people here. I think as long as you don't pick something weirdly specific you'll be okay. Besides, even though everyone comes from a different place there are some feelings that are universal, I think.

That's true. Feelings of people rarely change even if they come from different worlds. All feelings most likely exist in every world... especially the strongest ones.

We're all people no matter where we come from, so I'm sure you'll be able to create something that'll appeal to a lot of us.

[ besides, anything is better than the constant friendship and pokemon centered songs. he's a content guy that likes people but twenty minutes listening to the radio makes him feel a bit drugged sometimes. ]

Anyway, I can't really help -- I ain't much of a musical person. I'd say as long as it ain't boring or depressing, it's cool to listen to.

It's not easy, but it's worth a shot. At least there are listeners here who aren't native, Pokémon-obsessed people, so it's not entirely impossible.
